ദി ഹിന്ദു പത്രം വീട്ടില്‍ വരുത്തുന്നതു നിര്‍ത്തി വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥിനിയുടെ പ്രതിഷേധം. എ കെ ജി ഭവനില്‍ കടന്നു കയറി സീതാറാം യെച്ചൂരിയെ കൈയേറ്റം ചെയ്ത വാര്‍ത്ത പത്താം പേജിലൊതുക്കിയതിനെ തുടര്‍ന്നാണ് പെണ്‍കുട്ടിയുടെ തീരുമാനം. തിരുവനന്തപുരം വഞ്ചിയൂര്‍ സ്വദേശി ഗായത്രി ഹിന്ദു പത്രാധിപര്‍ക്കയച്ച മെയ്ല്‍ വൈറലാകുന്നു:

Respected Editor,

I’m a student perusing degree in Economics and a regular reader of your paper. Even on my hectic days I somehow manage to go through the leaves of ‘The Hindu’ , and have always acknowledged it’s ethics and impartiality. But since the past few months, the news reports have become quite displeasing in the sense that they have an inclination towards Hindu extremist ideologies.

I would like to invite your attention towards today’s daily (08/06/2017). Not only that the front page has not secured space for a much relevant news regarding the attempt to manhandle a National leader, MP and intellect but also the news has been pushed to the 10th page which is extremely degrading.

It’s also to be noted that a comparatively irrelevant news which was the cause for today’s dawn to dusk Hartal in Trivandrum was given undeserving importance putting it on the front page of the daily. This clearly portray the political interest of the newspaper which may hurt secular readers who desire for objective and unslanted news. This has forced me to unsubscribe ‘The Hindu’ from tomorrow.
