Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated the Lulu Mall, one of the biggest mall in Kerala. Megastar Mammootty, Kadakampally Surendran mla, opposition leader V D Satheesan, congress leaders Shashi Tharoor MP, Ramesh Chennithala, P K Kunhalikutty, Oommen Chandy, V S Sivakumar and many others attended the function. The mall will be opened to the public from Friday(17-12-2021).
The mall has an area of 20 lakhs square feet. Rs 2,000 was spent on the construction. The massive building is situated near the Technopark at Akkulam. Directly and indirectly, 15,000 persons are expected to work for the mall. 600 employees from the district are working here at present, the company said. ‘Funtura’ will entertain children and the zipline to roam around the mall will offer an adventurous time for the visitors. The parking area can hold 3000 cars at a time.
