Former America’s Got Talent contestant Jane ‘Nightbirde’ Marczewski has died at age 31, six months after her battle with cancer led her to withdraw from the competition show. she was a standout on season 16 of America’s Got Talent. The singer appeared on the NBC show in June 2021, with an audition that got a golden buzzer response and an emotional reaction from Simon Cowell. She later revealed she’d be dropping out, however, after her cancer spread. The singer, from Ohio, revealed during her emotional audition in June that she had cancer. Marczewski was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017 and was in remission when it returned a few years later. The singer, who used the stage name Nightbirde, passed away on Sunday following months of treatment after the disease had spread to her lungs, spine, and liver.
