The monsoon in India really gives one of the best natural scenery, as rivers are in full swing, mountains are awake after a long sleep, and the monsoon decorated the whole valleys with sparking waterfalls, magnificent lakes, lush green trees, and beautiful flowers. The monsoon is one of the best times to explore the length and breadth of the country, see the cities come alive, watch the rivers and lakes swell and flow, and mountains become lush green, teeming with life. The rains bring with them a magical time that is difficult to resist.
1. Shillong, Meghalaya
One of the top destinations to visit during the monsoon, Shillong receives the heaviest rainfall in the monsoons. Shillong is known as the ‘Scotland of the East, surrounded by the lush green Khasi and Jayanti hills. 8. Munnar, Kerala
