As an order on Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s possible disqualification is awaited, the leaders of ruling JMM-Congress coalition will meet with Governor Ramesh Bias this evening.
Sources say Hemant Soren will also call on the Governor.
The Hemant Soren government in Jharkhand is in flux since the Election Commission reportedly recommended the disqualification of the Chief Minister to the Governor.
Mr Soren is facing disqualification as an MLA after the BJP moved a plea alleging he violated election rules by extending a mining lease to himself. The party says he should resign ‘on moral grounds’ and make way for fresh elections.The Election Commission has submitted its opinion to the Governor
