Hundreds rallied Friday morning to commemorate Azhikodan Raghavan’s 50th anniversary of martyrdom Kannur Payambalam. Helmed by Central Committee member, EP Jayarajan, comrades paid floral tributes at the martyr’s column in Kannur’s Payambra.
Kannur district secretary MV Jayarajan earlier announced elaborate function to observe Azhikodan Raghavan martyrdom day. Memorial meeting shall be convened at 5 this evening close along Kannor Bank road. Central Committee member EP Jayarajan who participated in floral homage Friday morning will make his presence at the memorial meeting.
Discourse on topics ‘anti-communist mindset of media in Kerala’ and ‘when media is silenced’ shall be held at branch levels widely. Also, the day will mark commencement of subscription drive for Deshabhimani daily. MV Jayaraj urged to make successful the Azhikodan martyrdom day commemoration, the debate functions and Deshabhimani campaign.
