A gang of 6 that made on and off robberies at Jestin Brish Singh’s farm in Vilapilshala was arrested on Tuesday. Arrested in the incident are : Shlu(32) resident of Shalu Bhavan in Perumkulam’s Kagayode, Rajesh from Punthan Veedu in Kulathumel Kattaykode, Anil Kumar(52) from Anju Bhavan in Malapanamcode, Suresh(29) from Vattavilla Veedu in Paramcode, Santhu(35) from Vattavila Puthan veedu in Valacode and Johny(33) from Keezkarikooth Veedu in Kattaykode.
The gang robbed the farm multiple times , the major incident of which took place in September. During later hour on that day, the men broke the lock to farm, pried inside and made away with loot , this time comprising 23 iron road, steel fencing wire, CCTV cameras and timber stored in compound.
Police got their lead form an anonymous tip. The autorickshaw used to transport stolen goods too was taken into custody. Vilapilshala Station Inspector N Sreushkumar arrested the gang in an operation led by police team headed by DySP Anil kumar.
