There will be immediate action in connection with collapse of underpass below national highway in Periya, once the detailed investigation report is received, said minister Mohamed Riyas on Saturday.
Since the accident relates to national highway works, a direct investigation on part of state department is not possible, said the minister, adding that he spoke with officials of National Highways Authority of India(MHAI), whose jurisdiction it is.
Meanwhile, Bekkel police case registered thier own case in the incident and have begun probe. According to reports, the injured are labourers from outside states and their wounds are minor.
