The IMD predicts widespread rains in state starting today. In the south west of Bay of Bengal, the depression aligned closely to Sri Lanka’s north has intensified to severe depression. Consequential rains across Kerala is forecast to last up to Monday.
The severe depression will tomorrow travel in north-west direction hitting Tamil Nadu shores in Puthucherri after which will later in the day and the day after pass through Puthucherri and reach coasts in Kerala, reads IMD weather forecast.
