Mudslide was reported from Munnar’s Top Station Road near Kundala in Puthukadi where one person is missing after cascading soil landed over a tempo traveller returning with tourists. There were 11 person on board at the time of the accident. One among them, Roopesh aged 40, caught under the slide.
What happened : As mud cascaded over the tempo traveller, the occupants got out and were pushing the stuck vehicle, when Roopesh returned to its interior to retrieve his mobile, just the time when more rushwater and mud slid from above.
