പാർട്ടിക്കകത്തെ തർക്കം കാരണം കോൺഗ്രസ് വിടുന്നതായി കോഴിക്കോട് ചാലപ്പുറം മണ്ഡലം പ്രസിഡണ്ട് എം അയൂബ്. കോൺഗ്രസ് നേതൃത്വം സീറ്റ് കച്ചവടം നടത്തി. പ്രവർത്തകരുമായി ആലോചിക്കാതെയാണ് ചാലപ്പുറം സീറ്റ് സി എം പി യ്ക്ക് നൽകിയത് എന്നും അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു. മത്സരിക്കുന്നതിൽ തീരുമാനം പിന്നീടെന്നും അയൂബ് പ്രതികരിച്ചു. അയൂബിനൊപ്പം 16 മണ്ഡലം ഭാരവാഹികളും കോൺഗ്രസിൽ നിന്ന് രാജിവെച്ചു.

Kozhikode Chalappuram constituency president M Ayub is leaving the Congress due to internal disputes. The Congress leadership traded seats. He also said that the Chalappuram seat was given to CMP without consulting the workers. Ayub responded that the decision on contesting will be taken later. Along with Ayub, 16 constituency office bearers also resigned from the Congress.
