അപകീർത്തി കേസിൽ ബി ജെ പി നേതാക്കളായ കെ സുരേന്ദ്രനും അനിൽ കെ ആന്റണിക്കും ഹൈക്കോടതിയിൽ നിന്നും തിരിച്ചടി. നന്ദകുമാറിൻ്റെ പരാതിയിൽ തങ്ങൾക്കെതിരെ എടുത്ത അപകീർത്തി കേസ് റദ്ദാക്കണമെന്ന ഇരുവരുടെയും ഹർജി കോടതി തള്ളി. നന്ദകുമാറിൻ്റെ പരാതിയിൽ കേസെടുക്കാൻ നിർദേശിച്ച വിചാരണക്കോടതി ഉത്തരവ് ജസ്റ്റിസ് വി ജി അരുൺ അധ്യക്ഷനായ സിംഗിൾ ബഞ്ച് ശരിവച്ചു. തന്നെ കാട്ടുകള്ളനെന്നും വിഗ്രഹമോഷ്ടാവ് എന്നും വിശേഷിപ്പിച്ചത് അപകീർത്തികരമാണ് എന്നായിരുന്നു നന്ദകുമാറിൻ്റെ പരാതി. പരാതി പരിഗണിച്ച ജില്ല കോടതി കേസെടുക്കാൻ നിർദ്ദേശം നൽകുകയായിരുന്നു. വിചാരണ കോടതിയുടെ നടപടിയുമായി സഹകരിക്കാൻ നിർദ്ദേശിച്ചാണ് ഇരുവരുടെയും ഹർജി ഹൈക്കോടതി തള്ളിയത്.
