ദില്ലി വായുമലിനീകരണത്തിൽ ഇന്ത്യ ഗേറ്റിന് മുന്നിൽ പ്രതിഷേധിച്ച ജെഎൻ യു സർവകലാശാല വിദ്യാർത്ഥി യൂണിയൻ നേതാക്കളെ പൊലീസ് അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്തു നീക്കി. വൈസ് പ്രസിഡന്റ് ഗോപിക ബാബു അടക്കമുള്ള വരെയാണ് അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്തത്. വായു മലിനീകരണം രൂക്ഷമായ സാഹചര്യത്തിൽ സർക്കാർ നടപടി സ്വീകരിക്കണമെന്ന് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടായിരുന്നു സംയുക്ത പ്രതിഷേധം.
The police have arrested and removed the leaders of the JNU Students’ Union who were protesting in front of India Gate over Delhi’s air pollution. The arrests included Vice President Gopika Babu. The joint protest was aimed at demanding action by the government in the wake of the worsening air pollution.
