പത്തനംതിട്ട മെഴുവേലിയിൽ നവജാതശിശു വീട്ടിൽ മരിച്ച നിലയിൽ. 21 വയസ്സുകാരി വിദ്യാർത്ഥിനി പ്രസവിച്ച കുട്ടിയാണ് മരിച്ചത്. വിദ്യാർത്ഥിനി അവിവാഹിതയാണ് കുഞ്ഞിന് ജന്മം നൽകിയത്. രക്തസ്രാവവുമായി ആശുപത്രിയിൽ എത്തിച്ചപ്പോഴാണ് വിദ്യാർത്ഥിനി പ്രസവിച്ചതെന്ന് മനസ്സിലായത്. തുടർന്ന് പോലീസിന്റെ പരിശോധനയിലാണ് നവജാതശിശുവിന്റെ ജഡം കണ്ടെത്തിയത്.

അയൽവീട്ടിലെ പറമ്പിൽ ആണ് കുഞ്ഞിനെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചത്. മരണകാരണം വ്യക്തമല്ല. കുഞ്ഞിൻ്റെ അമ്മ ചെങ്ങന്നൂരിലെ സ്വകാര്യ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ ചികിത്സയിൽ ആണ്. കുഞ്ഞിന്റെ മൃതദേഹം ജനറൽ ആശുപത്രിയിലേക്ക് മാറ്റും.
ENGLISH SUMMARY: A newborn baby was found dead at home in Pathanamthitta’s Mezhuveli. The baby was born to a 21-year-old student. The student gave birth to the baby unmarried. It was only when she was brought to the hospital with bleeding that it was discovered that the student had given birth. The body of the newborn was later found during a police examination.
